Last weekend I went near Pirano, in Slovenia, to visit the Sicciole Saline Natural Park.
I took part in an event organized by the Association Matite in Viaggio which favors the interest in traveling as a mean to know the others and ourselves, a concept of traveling as an existential experience.

The program of the event was structured on two days to have plenty of time to discover and sketch in the park but also to visit the nearby city of Piran where the native house of the violinist Tartini is situated and where the headquarters of the Italian association are hosted.

The days have been quite windy and cold but, even if they were not the best conditions to draw, no one was discouraged and many sketches were created in an atmosphere that gave to the saline a very particular taste.

Here I’m sharing mine and on the Matite in Viaggio website you will probably find some more.
